How to clean the swimming pool

 Thanks for helping to keep the pool clean.

1) Check if the Kreepy is functioning.

If you can see vibration ripples beside the hose, the Kreepy is working fine.

This is the clapper. If it is not flapping, the most likely culprit is a tiny twig obstructing its movement. Big leaves also get in the way. Clear away the obstacle so the clapper can clap happily!

To empty the leaf basket, go to the pump house and look for the tap that controls the input/suction side.

Twist the handle so it shares input equally between Pool and Spa. This makes it possible to lift the Kreepy plate, while still leaving modest inflow to stop the leaves in the basket from flying everywhere.

Inside the place where the Kreepy hose goes in, you can see the Plate , with a brick to help it stay in position, and the Tag which goes over the edge of the plate.

Remove the Plate, and disconnect the Hose from the Plate.

Use the handles of the basket to lift it out. Notice how the handles are NOT aligned with the Tag.

Empty the leaves out on a bolt on the outside of a fence post.

Put plate back in with edge of Plate under the Tag. Replace Hose in the hole of the Plate.

Turn input tap back to 100% Pool Suck.

Check that the Kreepy is vibrating again.
